We cater for players of all abilities and skill levels; our focus is on fun and enjoyment of the game – whether your child simply wants to play social rugby and make new friends or is aiming and dreaming big to be a future Wallaby, Brumby, or senior Viking, your child will enjoy the complete experience that Vikings Junior Rugby provides. After all Rugby is truly the only sport for all body sizes!

Our focus is on teamwork, fitness, fun and playing in the right spirit, with the goal of giving kids a safe introduction to Rugby Union Football. Our club encourages participation and inclusiveness to all members, both on and off the field through friendship, endeavor, loyalty and laughter.

All individual Rugby participants must be registered prior to participating in Rugby, including before playing any match, trials or training. This is a necessity for coverage under the Rugby Australia National Insurance Scheme.

Rugby Australia currently offer two payment options for online registrations for the season; credit (or debit) card & Zip Pay. Simply select your preferred option as you work your way through the registration process.

Zip Pay offers an interest free option to pay off your fees in installments*, allowing families to complete their registrations & manage their budget. If you don’t have a Zip Pay account you can create one after you have selected Zip Pay as your preferred payment method.

The club has access to several mechanisms to subsidise fees for families experiencing financial hardships. These include the Indigenous Sports Grant Program and the Vikings Liscnce club “Get into sport” for families and players who reside and go to school within the Tuggeranong Valley. We consider it an important role of the club to ensure no child misses out on rugby experiences due to financial hardship. To discuss options for your family, please contact [email protected] before registering.

* Please carefully read the terms & conditions from Zip Pay regarding your re-payment responsibilities before deciding if Zip Pay is the right option for you.

Refunds

The moment a player registration is processed, the Club pays Rugby Australia the fixed Registration components on behalf of the participant(s). So, generally we are not able to refund fees.

In special circumstances, the committee can consider applications made in writing for a refund of the Club-Membership component of player fees. In these cases, the club would wear the cost of this refund. The Special Circumstances could include a medical reason or another special circumstance as detailed in writing. No applications for fee refund will be considered after 30th April.

Registration Information Days

Each year the club will hold information days where you will find out all the information for the year ahead. At certain events, you can participate in some activities to give Rugby a go. These include:

The “Brumbies Meet the Players Day”: generally held in February at Brumbies HQ @ Canberra UC, Bruce.
Vikings ‘Come & Try’ Rugby: in February or March – details will be posted on our home page
